Linda McCalla
Interior Design is in the details and Linda McCalla, ASID, is adept at artfully layering the many architectural and interior elements of a space to give her clients richly detailed rooms that welcome them home. Whether a rustic retreat in the mountains of northern New Mexico or the President’s Home at Southwestern University, her work reflects a deep understanding of classic and timeless design principles and a broad knowledge of today’s wide offering of materials and technology.
An honors graduate of the Interior Design program at the University of Texas at Austin, Linda’s professional background includes accomplishments in the field of historic preservation as well as design. Directing Georgetown’s successful Main Street Project, she played a leading role in the revitalization of the city’s historic central business district and maintains an office in a charming vintage cottage just off the courthouse square.
Linda has practiced design in the Austin area since 1984. A significant amount of her work has been concentrated in new construction, working from the preliminary design concept through construction and into interior furnishings. Her knowledge and experience is invaluable in helping clients through the long decision making process, minimizing stress and producing spectacular results.
Widely published on a regional and national level, Linda has been commissioned by Southern Living magazine for two Idea Houses built in Austin. Further recognition has come through numerous ASID Design Excellence Awards at the local and state level and a National Main Street Award for Georgetown’s highly acclaimed Main Street Project.
